Just announced! It's time to make new memories as the Goo Goo Dolls kicks off yet another summer outing this year. As new generations tune in and take a deep dive back to their nostalgic offerings, John Rzeznik & Robby Takac are making it known that they're alive and kicking.
As always, it's gonna be a full house as fans gather to celebrate a full-circle night with the "Big Machine", "Naked", "Name", "Miracle Pill", "Boxes", "Better Days", and "Iris" hitmakers.
Highly acclaimed as one of the greatest rock bands to exist, Goo Goo Dolls started off as a cover band and later developed their signature punk-infused rock bangers. Their breakthrough came as their single "Name" successfully placed them on the rock map, and later took over the world with "Iris". The track spent 11 consecutive months on the Hot 100 chart, topping it for a record of 18 weeks. Garnering four Grammy nominations and selling 15+ million records globally, these "We Are the Normal" hitmakers became an essential name in rock music history. From "A Boy Named Goo" down to "Chaos in Bloom", they've created rockin' anthems perfect for summer nights for over four decades now.
"We're a legacy band in a lot of ways, even though we're releasing new material," Rzeznik shared with NPR. "And it feels like I'm releasing material for myself and for my audience … I'm not trying to have big hit songs on the radio or whatever because of streaming and everything else."
